You Must Be Stoking in the Function room on Wednesday 6th November.
Forget the fireworks from the night before, the 6th November will be filled with explosive laughter at You Must Be Stoking, with fantastic comedy from:
Award-winning character from comedian Tom Binns, winner of the Best International Act at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival 2013, and twice nominated for the Adelaide Fringe Comedy Award in 2010 and 2011. Inept hospital radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury was nominated for the Edinburgh if.comedy award in 2007, and his roadshow became a regular fixture on the live circuit. As Ivan Brackenbury and Ian D Montfort (see below) Tom has received 5 star reviews from The Daily Telegraph, Time Out, Chortle, Metro, Spotlight, Three Weeks, and Fringe Review.

Ian D Montfort:
A very different, but equally highly commended character from Tom Binns, Ian D Montfort, a psychic from Sunderland, was first performed as a character at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe, going on to a series, Ian D Montfort is Unbelievable, on BBC Radio 2 in February 2013.

Alex began performing stand up comedy in 2009, and now performs and comperes for many comedy clubs around the country. He was regular performer for Paul Kerensa’s ‘Comedians and Carols’ tour in December 2012, and is also a contracted writer for topical BBC sketch show ‘Newsjack’.

Pierre Novellie was born in South Africa, lives in the Isle Of Man and was a member of Cambridge Footlights. He was a finalist in the 2012 Chortle Student Comedy Award and won the 2013 Amused Moose Laugh-Off.

Compere Paul Kerensa:
Exiled Cornishman Paul Kerensa has become a regular at the UK’s biggest venues, and a popular and reliable headline act. He writes for various sitcoms, including BBC1 hits Miranda and Not Going Out, as well as sketch shows such as Dead Ringers, ITV’s CGI UK and BBC3’s The Wrong Door. He has also written for The News Quiz, The Now Show, and countless others.
